Private therapy
Private therapy
If you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, or simply feel stuck, therapy can help. And when you want quick access, choice, and a tailored experience, private therapy gives you more control over your mental health journey.
At PLE Health, we offer private therapy sessions with qualified, experienced clinicians. Whether you're looking for short-term support or longer-term help, we’re here to listen—without judgment, without waiting lists.
What is private therapy?
Private therapy means seeing a qualified therapist outside the NHS or public system. You don’t need a referral, and you can usually choose a therapist and format that suits you best—whether that’s face-to-face, online, short-term, or open-ended.
At PLE Health, private therapy gives you access to:
- Fully accredited psychologists and therapists
- Flexible scheduling to fit around your life
- A choice of therapeutic approaches tailored to your needs
- A calm, confidential space to work through what’s on your mind

What can private therapy help with?
People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. You don’t have to be in crisis—many people simply want a space to reflect, feel better, or explore something they’re struggling with.
Common issues we help with include:
- Anxiety, worry, or panic
- Depression or low mood
- Stress or burnout
- Grief, loss, or major life changes
- Trauma or past experiences
- Relationship or family difficulties
- Low self-esteem or confidence
- Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally “stuck”
Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to face it alone.
How private therapy works
We start with an initial conversation to understand what you need. From there, we match you with the most suitable therapist, and sessions usually take place weekly or fortnightly. Each session lasts around 50 minutes.
Therapy can be short-term (6–12 sessions) or longer-term, depending on your goals. You’ll be involved in shaping the direction, and your therapist will support you with practical tools and space for deeper reflection.
You can access therapy:
- Online – from the comfort of your own home
- In person – at one of our clinics across the UK
- Individually or as a couple, depending on your needs

Private therapy that fits around you
We offer both in person and online private therapy, so you can choose what suits you and your situation best. We're flexible and here to support what’s most helpful for you.
